These terms apply to the optional Extended Warranty Plan offered by Compridis, in addition to the standard warranty of 2 years for new items or 1 year for refurbished items (Gold, Silver & Bronze). This plan is managed internally by Compridis and provides extended protection against defects for selected products.

The Warranty Plan expressly does not qualify as insurance and grants no rights other than those explicitly described in these terms.


1. Definitions

  • Standard warranty: The statutory warranty applied by Compridis of 2 years on new products and 1 year on refurbished products.
  • Extended Warranty Plan: Optional additional warranty that can be purchased at the time of purchase of selected products.
  • Defect: A malfunction or fault not caused by the user, as a result of which the product no longer functions as intended.
  • Normal use: use in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, manual, and intended purpose.

2. Applicability

The Warranty Plan applies exclusively to products for which it has been explicitly offered and purchased.
Compridis reserves the right to refuse or limit participation in the Warranty Plan per product or category.


3. Warranty packages

3.1 Basic

  • Duration: +1 extra year on top of the standard warranty
  • Coverage: Manufacturing defects, electronic malfunctions

3.2 Extended

  • Duration: +2 extra years
  • Coverage: Basic + defects arising from intensive, but normal, use

3.3 Premium

  • Duration: +3 extra years
  • Coverage: Everything in Extended + priority handling + free return label for approved claims

Compridis reserves the right to differentiate the contents of packages by product category.


4. Conditions for validity

  • The Extended Warranty Plan must be purchased at the same time as the product.
  • The purchase must have been made via www.compridis.nl or one of the country-specific shops (www.compridis.de - www.compridis.com - www.compridis.fr - www.compridis.be).
  • Warranty is tied to the item (based on serial number) and is non-transferable.
  • The product's serial number must match the purchase registration.
  • The product must have been used and maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Compridis reserves the right to refuse a warranty claim in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, or improper use.
  • The customer bears the burden of proof that the defect falls within the coverage.
  • In case of doubt about the cause of the defect, the judgment of Compridis or its service partner shall prevail.

5. What is covered?

  • Defects due to normal wear and tear or manufacturing faults
  • Internal electronic components that fail
  • Hardware that no longer functions as intended without external damage
  • Malfunctions that cannot be traced back to external influences or excluded causes as referred to in article 6
  • Coverage is limited to restoring the product's original functionality and does not include improvement, upgrade, or replacement with a newer model, unless determined by Compridis.

6. What is excluded?

  • Physical damage caused by drops, impacts, or water damage
  • Theft or loss
  • Damage caused by improper use, incorrect voltage, or installation
  • Cosmetic damage such as scratches or discoloration
  • Accessories, peripherals, or non-electronic products
  • Opening or repairs by third parties without permission from Compridis
  • Damage caused by software, firmware, updates, or configuration (including OS, drivers, malware, hacks, jailbreaks, root) is excluded
  • Damage caused by failure to carry out necessary updates or maintenance
  • Normal wear and tear of consumables such as batteries, among others (unless agreed otherwise)
  • Business or professional use that falls outside normal consumer use (unless explicitly permitted)
  • Use of non-original parts or accessories that cause damage
  • Defects that already existed or were apparent at the time of purchase (including B-stock characteristics)
  • Certain product categories (see article 8)

7. Claims procedure

  1. Customer contacts us via the contact form with the subject 'Warranty claim'
  2. Customer states order number, product, and description of the defect
  3. Within 3 working days, the customer will receive a message with the next steps
  4. If the request is approved and after internal inspection of the product by Compridis, one of the following settlement options will follow:
    • Repair
    • Replacement product (equivalent or better)
    • Refund

The choice of settlement lies solely with Compridis.

Replacement may take place with a refurbished or equivalent product.

If the defect is not covered, Compridis may charge inspection costs and shipping costs.

The risk of shipping lies with the customer until the product has been received by Compridis, unless agreed otherwise.


8. Exclusions by product category

The following categories are excluded from participation in the Extended Warranty Plan:

  • Televisions
  • DesignJets and large-format printers (plotters)
  • Accessories (mice, webcams, phone cases, smartwatch accessories)
  • Consumables (cartridges, toners, etc.)
  • Server parts
  • Barbecues, lighting, pans
  • Air conditioners
  • Products in the B-stock outlet: Basic plan only possible (max. 1 extra year)
  • Refurbished products: Basic plan standard, Extended package only if explicitly offered per product or category (max. 3 years total)

Compridis reserves the right to adjust categories at any time without retroactive effect.


9. Liability

Compridis's total liability is limited to the purchase amount of the product.

Compridis is not liable for any form of direct or indirect damage, including but not limited to data loss, business damage, loss of income, or other consequential damage, resulting from the product not functioning or not functioning fully.

The customer is responsible for making backups.


10. Termination of the Warranty Plan

  • The plan ends automatically after the selected term.
  • In the event of replacement of the product, the remaining warranty is not transferred to the replacement product, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
  • In the event of a refund, the remainder of the warranty plan lapses.
  • The Warranty Plan automatically lapses in the event of fraud, abuse, or intentional misuse of the product
  • Compridis reserves the right to terminate the Warranty Plan unilaterally in the event of violation of these terms.

11. Choice of law

These terms are governed by Dutch law.

Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.


12. Miscellaneous

If any provision proves to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain fully in force.
Compridis reserves the right to amend these terms; changes do not apply retroactively.
